Baked Cheesy Mussels

INGREDIENTSa dozen mussels
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp minced garlic or 1 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS1) Place mussels in a saucepan and cook in their own juices for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
3) Combine the mayo, cheese and garlic in a bowl. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
4) Open the mussels and save the halves with the meat. Spread a spoonful of the mayo mix onto the mussels.
5) Place on a baking pan and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
